Signs of Spring
We planted two plum trees the spring after we moved into our home. Every year we patiently wait for plums. We wait and wait and wait! And, every year the same, a few tiny plums that the birds or squirrels get to first. Well this year, our trees are full of blossoms and look better than they ever have. Hopefully this means fat juicy plums this year. Spring is here but is it here to stay???

We also have a plum tree and have never actually picked a plum even though we have a good crop every year. The birds always get our plums before we wake up in the morning. You know, the early bird catches the worm.. You will have to find something to scare them away from the tree...metallic or shiny maybe.
My family used to do the same thing with strawberries. We waited patiently every summer for them to come out... and then Ashley and I would eat get one with our breakfast for a couple of mornings :) We were always so excited- fun memories for your kids to have...
