What A Weekend!

It is always busy around our house. I guess anyone with three children can expect crazy weekends. Ours started with a rough Friday at our house. Both the older two were not on their best behavior. After many, many warnings I put them in seperate rooms to rest. Something I haven't been doing this summer. They generally enjoy spending time playing, reading, drawing, and playing outside together.
Anyway, by the time Daddy got home I was really ready for a night out!
I got to go out with my great friend, Rebecca. She had the weekend alone because Patrick took their three little ones to visit his family. We went to a favorite Mexican restaurant and ate chips and fajitas until we could eat no more. Then we went to the new Wal-Mart and just walked around with NO DISTRACTIONS!!! I love spending time with Rebecca, she is such great company.
Saturday started with Greg and Jack going to a lab for Greg to get bloodwork done as a follow up to his Doctor appointment this last week. When they got home Jack andI ran an errand. Then when we got back we all went to Sams. We love to go to Sam's on a Saturday and shop and eat hot dogs. They have really good hot dogs, I 'm not kidding!. Then we ran home and got Jack ready for Cameron's birthday party. When he and Greg got back he told me to ask Jack if he liked roller skating. His answer was a definite NO! I think Jack doesn't like to do anything he can't do perfectly. So, being the mom I am I asked him if he would like skates for Christmas so he could practice and get better. He lit up and said Yes, mommy please. He is such a perfectionist!
The last thing we did Saturday was the best! Greg and I got to go on a real date night. Something that has been few and far between lately. We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean and it was wonderful. Aunt Gretchen came over to watch all three kids and put them to bed! What would we do without our two wonderful Aunts, who take such good care of our kids. We love them both so much.
Sunday we got up for First Service and for the first time since Connor was born we were out of the house on time without feeling rushed! Connor ate, the other two dressed themselves and I got to completely get ready for once.
After a yummy lunch with my family, we went to Aunt Tammy's to swim. Emma and Terry joined us too! Jack and Bailey love to swim and are really fun to watch this summer. Connor got in the water for about 30 minutes. He kept trying to put his face into the water and would come up sputtering and laughing. I guess he will love the water too.
Then we all 5 layed down for a Sunday afternoon nap!
Now that is a perfect end to a crazy weekend!

Surgery #2

Jack, Connor and I went to Dr. Yanker's office yesterday to do Jack's Pre-Op visit.
It went really well, I find myself more at peace this time around. The first surgery went so well with no complications. Jack is such a trooper. He doesn't let Doctor's or the thought of surgery bother him outwordly. He does tend to talk more in his sleep or even sleep walk when he is stressed out. Last time he had nightmares and was sleepwallking a lot right before the surgery.
He says he is excited to get the rest of his birthmark taken off. We'll see how excited he is in the next few days.
Greg and I decided to take Jack and Bailey to Six Flags for the first time the day before his surgery. He is soooo excited about that! He was telling everyone in Dr. Yanker's office that he was going to ride his first roller coaster. He is such a daredevil and wants to try everything at least once. I love that quality about him.
Jack...
Mommy has been in constant prayer for your surgery to go really well. I just know God is
going to be right there with you the whole time! When you wake up Mommy and Daddy will be sitting right next to your bed just like last time. We love you so much!

And so it begins...

I said to a good friend just last week that I didn't have time right now to blog!
Well, the more I contemplated this adventure the more I saw the real benefits.
I am going to keep this to myself for now. I don't know how often I'll get to do it
and don't want to pressure myself to blog just for friends to read. I am
doing this simply for my three wonderful children to read and enjoy.

So here goes...
I am a Christian wife and mother of three who tends to overextend myself!
I am married to the most amazing man, Greg. He is very supportive and
loving and is the best father I could have ever wished for.
Jackson is our oldest son. He is 6 years old and thinks he knows everything.
He is going into first grade this year and loves school.
His little sister is Bailey. She is 4 1/2. Bailey is very much the princess of
the house. She has a very loving spirit and cares deeply for others.
The newest addition to our family is Connor. He is nearly 4 months old.
His brother and sister love him dearly and are very helpful with him.
Connor has the sweetest nature and is smiling all the time with the
biggest toothless grin ever. We feel very blessed to have these three
children. They are each unique and yet so much alike. Watching Bailey
and Jack talk to Connor and seeing him smile at them lights up my world!

My only hope for this adventure into the blogging world is to have recorded
milestones and events for my children to enjoy and to help me get it down in
print. I don't always have time to journal and scrapbook. Or I forget what I
wanted to say and write by the time I find time to do it.

Jack, Bailey, Connor...
I love you dearly. I can't wait to watch you grow and love and change.
Remember always you are a child of God.
