Where did Summer go? It was a longer summer but it seemed to fly by. I never feel like I have enough time with my kids now that they are in school. The kids and I spent all day Saturday together doing things we enjoy. Greg was out of town for the weekend and it was just us. First, we went to the cemetery with Mimi to put a flag and red, white and blue flowers on Papa's grave. It was Jack's idea and we all really enjoyed remembering Papa and looking around at the headstones. They love to hear stories about all their relatives that have gone on to heaven.
All afternoon we played in the backyard. Our "cheap" pool has already gotten a hole in it so we just squirted the hose and ran around. Jack and Bailey made a "water slide" out of Connor's little slide by putting the hose at the top and then sliding down it.
Connor was a little devil all afternoon. He loved to grab the hose and squirted us. He and Jack fought for it and Connor won! He chased us around and got us really wet. He really loved squirting Jack and Bailey while they jumped on the trampoline.
After a really busy day I had all three in bed by 7:30 and it was really quiet around here!
